Welcome to ShiokSales. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the ShiokSales website, apps, and related services (the “Services”). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.
1. About the platform
ShiokSales is a marketplace for deals, Flash Deals, vouchers, and Group Buying campaigns. Listings may be offered by independent merchants or by ShiokSales Official. Unless stated otherwise, merchants are responsible for product quality, fulfilment, redemption, and after-sales support for their listings.
2. Eligibility & accounts
- You must be able to form a binding contract under applicable law.
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep it updated.
- We may activate, suspend, or lock accounts to protect users, merchants, or the platform (for example fraud, abuse, or unpaid obligations).
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping login credentials secure.
3. Deals, pricing & availability
- Prices, discounts, stock, and deal windows are shown on each product/deal page and may change.
- Flash Deals and other promotions are limited by time and/or quantity.
- We may correct obvious pricing or listing errors and cancel affected orders where necessary.
- Images and descriptions are illustrative; always read the deal details, inclusions, and exclusions before purchasing.
4. Orders & payment
- Placing an order is an offer to buy. Acceptance occurs when we (or the merchant workflow) confirm the order.
- Payment is collected through supported payment providers. Additional provider terms may apply.
- Taxes, shipping, and fees (if any) are disclosed at checkout where applicable.
5. Vouchers & redemption
- Voucher deals are redeemed according to the instructions and validity period on the deal page.
- Unless the deal states otherwise, vouchers are non-transferable and expire on the stated date.
- Once a voucher is redeemed, refunds are generally not available except where required by law or the deal’s cancellation policy.
6. Group Buying
- Joining a Group Buy campaign is free unless stated otherwise.
- Purchase at the volume price is available when the campaign unlocks (target reached) or earlier for eligible ShiokSales Prime / VIP members.
- You are charged for Group Buy only when you complete a purchase transaction at the applicable volume price.
- If a campaign ends without unlocking, free joins are not charged. Campaign rules on the deal page prevail if they provide more specific conditions.
7. ShiokSales Prime (VIP)
Prime membership benefits, pricing, and duration are described at purchase. Memberships may expire or be revoked for abuse or chargebacks. Benefits apply only while membership is active.
8. Cancellations, returns & refunds
Each deal may have its own cancellation and refund terms. Physical goods may follow merchant return rules; digital vouchers follow the deal’s redemption/cancellation policy. Contact support via your account if you believe an order was incorrect or defective.
9. Merchant & customer conduct
You agree not to misuse the Services, including fraud, scraping, interfering with platform security, posting unlawful content, or circumventing Group Buy or pricing rules. We may remove content, cancel orders, or suspend accounts for violations.
10. Intellectual property
ShiokSales branding, site design, and platform software are owned by us or our licensors. Merchants retain rights in their listing content but grant us a licence to display it on the Services.
11. Disclaimers
The Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Merchant products and services are provided by the respective merchants.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ShiokSales is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid to ShiokSales for the specific order giving rise to the claim in the 12 months before the claim (or SGD 100 if greater protections are not required by law).
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify ShiokSales against claims arising from your misuse of the Services, your content, or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our wilful misconduct.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence.
